I purchased the Fitbit Ultra a couple of days ago and want to give you a overview of my experience with this device.
The first thing i had to work out was where is the ideal place to have the fitbit placed i tried my pocket but settled for on my waist as this gave me the most accurate reading, and making sure that i dont break it by spreading it to much. I plugged the chargeing station into my pc and the wireless started working imeadiatly and the Fitbit tried to upload it data, it think you need to be withing 3or meters of the station for the upload to start.
To get started I downloaded the software of the Fitbit website and started to install and pair up my gadget with the software to charge up the power just plug it into the base for an hour or so and you are good to got for a few days at least, I will come back and give you an update when I do a battery test on my Fitbit.
The reson why I wanted the to get one of these is that it is one heck of a accurate pedometer with a few other bells and whistle thown in, such as displaying the number of calories burned nice looking graphics of a growing flower that grows with more activity. It will also track my sleep, I just press the button to enable sleep mode put the Fitbit into the pocket on the velcro wrist strap and get to bed, I set the setting to normal I found this to be more accurate than the sensitive setting, yours might be different. I found this to be a great feature as I look on the website and see my movements during sleep like if i get up to go to the toilet and it nice for it to give you a sleep score, i noticed that I had to set the sleep time to be when I actually go to sleep and not when I am reading, becouse the Fitbit will just measure that I do not move.
